1. What is the update price to VEDIT 6.0x?

If you purchased VEDIT 5.2 after May 1, 2001, the update to 6.0 is free by downloading from the Updates page. After downloading, you must have the 6.0 Serial-Registration number to activate the product. Registered users should have already received this number from us by email around Sept. 28, 2001. If you did not, please contact us or send a short email message to Once we verify your eligibility, we will email you the serial-registration number.

The update price from VEDIT PLUS 5.x or older is $59 for a downloaded update, or $75 (plus shipping expenses) for an update with printed manuals and CD-ROM.

2. Explain the Serial#, Registration#, and password

Our new online ordering system includes automated credit card authorization. The order system immediately emails you instructions and a "temporary" Serial-Registration number so that you can immediately install the newest version. After the order is confirmed, we assign each VEDIT license a 5-digit Serial# and a 10-digit Registration#. This final Serial-Registration number is emailed to you within a few hours (unless ordered outside business hours). You can enter this number when VEDIT prompts you for it by selecting {HELP, Register VEDIT}.

If you later purchase an update or a Software Subscription Plan, your Serial# may remain the same, but the Registration# will change. The Serial-Registration number determines when your support period expires. You can check to see how long you are entitled to support and updates by selecting {HELP, About}.

Without a valid Serial-Registration number, VEDIT will run only as a 30-day trial version.

Passwords are needed for "unzipping" some of the older versions of VEDIT.

3. Where can I find VEDIT in Australia?

VEDIT can either be purchased directly from us, Corporate Software Australia in Smithfield, New South Wales, or from Fagan Micro Software Pty. Ltd. in Middle Park, Victoria.

4. Where can I find VEDIT in Germany?

VEDIT can either be purchased directly from us, or from Comfood Software GmbH, or any other established distributor.
